Again we have chance to catch up with Mr. Sebbo about another way to control blood sugar. He says fast!
“Fasting is not a bad word! Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights as documented in the bible. While he was on the extreme, and as far as we know, was in perfect health, our bodies are different. (Plus, his fasting story is for another time or consult your bible). If you are a diabetic, fasting can be bad during the day but night time is a different story.
I’m only asking you to consider fasting about 10-12 hours each night or your regular sleep time window. If you can have a normal breakfast and lunch time of say, 6 a.m. and 12 p.m., respectively, for example, then think about dinner time. If you eat at 5 or 6 p.m. then take your 10-20 minute walk after dinner (see previous article on exercise). Also, only have water to drink from that point on or some drink without sugar and carbs and no alcohol as well. No snacks!
Eating sugar and carbs late will add to your weight and raise your blood sugar. This is also a strategy for anyone wishing to lose weight. You will lose weight using this strategy. Try it for a week and note the weight you lose. I keep a log of my blood sugar as I check it when I wake up and a few more times during the day.
Fasting is an effective way to treat your diabetes while still keeping yourself well hydrated (water) and bolstered by smart food intake: limit sugar and carbs.
Good luck with your weight loss while staying completely healthy and active”.
