GWI is mourning the death of Pastor Mary Munghono. Mary has been the senior pastor of Bukomolo Christian Fellowship Church located in Kibuku District in Eastern Uganda. Mary died after a short illness. She was 69 years old. Last year, we published an article about her 68 year birthday and that would be Jubilee anniversary of her marriage
Mary and her husband late Patrick Munghono established the church way back in 2009. Through their church, they welcomed GWI activities in Bukomolo community starting with the clinic in 2015. Patrick Munghono died suddenly in 2022
Mary has been instrumental in all the activities of GWI’S clinic in Bukomolo including leading weekly devotions with the staff.
The beauty of all, Mary and Patrick Munghono are the parents of Grace Nakajje, the CEO of GWI.
“My Mom & Dad have been my major back-up in my work and my life. I have grown with them and they were my best friends. They loved me & truly they laid their lives for me and my community by giving their land where we built the clinic in Bukomolo. I will ever remember my mom & dad in John 15:12 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”.
