Grace Nakajje, BSN, PGDPPM, MPH, BJMC, DJ, is the International Humanitarian Ambassador, a nurse, project manager, public health specialist, journalist, and an entrepreneur in Uganda. She is the founder of Grace Works Initiative (GWI). She has an extensive experience in establishing indigenous projects mainly for underprivileged communities and grows them to lasting impact in the country.
Ms. Nakajje set up GWI in July 2013 and it has since grown into one of the fervent Ngo in Uganda. In March 2016, her experience put her on the international map and she became the International Humanitarian Ambassador at IWAA, Toronto Canada.
During May 2010 – June 2013, Ms. Nakajje worked as conference communicator of East Africa Episcopal Conference of the United Methodist Church. She excelled in her work that earned her a seat as the best female communicator from Africa at the United Methodist Communicators’ Association (UMAC) held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA in 2011.
Ms. Grace has authored a book “Voice in the Jungle”.
During 2001 – 2009, Ms. Nakajje worked with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) TV and the New Vision Daily News paper as a journalist.
Ms. Nakajje is currently obtaining her nursing degree at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. He carried out a post graduate diploma at Uganda management Institute, her master’s degree in Public Health at International Health Science University and Bachelors degree in Journalism & Mass Communication at Ndejje University. Ms. Nakajje also holds a diploma in Journalism at UMCAT.
