GWI has unique community health approaches in regard to water, & sanitation. Our communities lack access to safe & clean water. They lack exposure to proper sanitation and hygiene. We look into this need & bring communities on board for solution because apart from using water for drinking & hygiene, they need it for social, cultural & economic purposes.
Therefore, our call for partnerships include; involvement of technical input to train communities to drill their own water, toilets/latrines, & waste management. We encourage stakeholders willing to drill or repair broken wells or donate tools. At community level, we mobilize them to get involved in helping themselves by cleaning water sources, roads, homesteads, schools, clinics, churches, setting up tip-taps water points for hand washing, clearing bushes to get rid of mosquitoes that cause malaria disease, personal hygiene management, and among other activities.
In Bukomolo community, GWI in partnership with New Ground Charities, USA supported Bukomolo clinic to have running water. This water also serves homes near the clinic. Take a tour
