New Ground Charities in November 2021 donated funds worth $9,500 USD to connect flowing fresh clean water at Bukomolo Clinic.

“We got scared when Covid19 pandemic broke out in the country because our patients and the staff were walking out of the clinic to look for water and this exposure to the rest of the community was a big risk to entry of the virus. We are so thankful to New Ground Charities for acting upon this need” say GWI CEO, Grace Nakajje

Nakajje say, this water is also a main need in the maternity department including in the laboratory as well as solving the need of patients’ hand washing practice against infections.

Bukomolo Village has poor access to clean water. There is only one water source serving a population of about 20,000 people. Also cattle drink from the same well. The clinic over the past years has shared from this same water.

Patrick Childers, the founder New Ground Charities is grateful to GWI for all the work done for your community. “It is good work and we are proud to be a small part of helping you”.

GWI is also connecting homes around the clinic with this water.
