It’s Eid day & reflecting on youths life

On this Eid-UI-Ftr day, GWI is reflecting on the life of youths. As an organization, we value the many struggles of this group & always, we’re on the look to how to uplift them. Few weeks a go, we lost a very vibrant youth in Bukomolo community in Eastern Uganda. Sula (in the photo above) was from an Islamic family but chose to became a Christian. He has been around all youth activities including being in a church choir at a local church in Bukomolo.

Sula’s family struggles economically & he has been growing on support from extended family and well wishers. And this is when GWI came to know him. Sula’s death is a shock to us and we dearly miss him.

GWI’s strength however is in involvement of reviving many of the youths activities that closed during Covid-19 pandemic and as well introducing new activities.

Currently, we need $1,300 for a bricks project involving youths affected with alcohol & drugs. This project involves making of pavers and these funds are to facilitate buying equipment.
Need $1,200 for the sports program. These funds will facilitate getting jerseys, balls, and PAS for entertainment.
Need $700 for tree planting project.
