Maternity

The major aim of starting Bukomolo Clinic was to bridge the delay gaps of safe motherhood. Now, pregnant women are ably accessing programs of Antenatal care,  deliveries, & postnatal.

Every year, hundreds of normal deliveries (births) are recorded. Because these are rural mothers, we have unique approaches to breastfeeding, nutrition, and self hygiene.

Christine (Ma’ma baby)

Meet Christine, 22 years old. Her neighbors call her Mama Baby, the new name she got after giving birth to her baby at Bukomolo clinic. This baby is her second child.

Unfortunately, the first child died while she was delivering at her home. She couldn’t easily manage to walk to a public health facility which was about 12 miles away from her home.

“Thank you Bukomolo Clinic. Now I have a child” she says.
