Tailoring

Women and girls in Bukomolo community during training

This program started with girls who failed to continue schooling due to Covid19 pandemic.

The effects of the pandemic exposed many girls into early sex. They fell plea because they were looking for food and men took this advantage causing many to conceive. These girls are now mothers.

GWI is engaging them in tailoring activities so that they can become self reliant. They make school uniforms, company/organization uniforms, church/choir uniforms, and various designs of men clothes, dresses, bed-sheets, children wear, reusable sanitary pads and many more.

In Bukomolo community, we launched this program in 2022.
