Bicycles for care in Bukomolo

Opening Bukomolo Clinic was exciting especially knowing that the delay gaps of access to medical facility, and access to physicians were solved. However, as time go-by there is increasing demand of helping sick people and pregnant women to reach faster at the clinic.

Excited and on track to improve healthcare in rural communities: GWI CEO, Grace Nakajje, shaking hands with Bukomolo Clinic social work, Robert Wagosi, after receiving the bicycle. The bicycle was bought with funds donated by Central UMC, Fayetteville, AR, USA.

We are therefore modifying our services to equip our medical staff with the quickest and affordable mobility aid to conduct home care visits, immunization and education, patients’ follow-ups and ambulance services.

The clinic has obtained the first bicycle and by using it, it will offer the opportunity to reach everyone in this remote area.

One (1) of the five (5) patients we receive gets difficulties of easily reaching the clinic or getting health information or awareness
