GWI new program to support education in Bukomolo community

Starting this year 2023, GWI will be supporting children in Bukomolo community with education supplies. These are children in public schools but they are struggling to continue schooling because they lack books, uniforms and other needs to use at school.

“We realized there were quite a number of children who were roaming around the village and majority coming to our farm looking for casual jobs yet schools started. Some of these children are from families that were supported by my late father and so, my office is coming to help. So far, we have mobilized books, pens and pencils and 42 children reported back to their schools” says GWI CEO Grace Nakajje

This program will run every term of study. Meaning, the distribution activity will be in three phases per year as per the education system of Uganda.

“We have decided to do random distribution the whole of this year. However, there are children that are so vulnerable and they need extra support. With direction from the the local authorities and BSF church, sponsorship files are being opened at Bukomolo Clinic and their support will be right from their nutrition, medication, clothing and bedding, school uniforms, and scholastic supplies among other needs as we monitor them. These sponsorships are being mobilized under PAT Legacy Education Sponsorship in honor of my late father. Please write to me gnakajje@yahoo.co.uk or call +256 772 962719 and we work together”
